Now that we're in Seward, Alaska, I'm experiencing a different version of fall. While back east is having sunny, warmer days, we have cool, rainy days. The colors are different as well. You can still see red and yellow in the landscape, but the red is at ground level, from the fireweed changing colors instead of the leaves on the trees. The leaves have turned yellow, but they are a more subtle shade rather than the vibrant colors I had seen in NY. Still gorgeous, but in a different way.
In the middle of the downpours, I've still managed to find a few times to get out and capture some beautiful shots for you. Enjoy! Fireweed in the FallThe 'Reds' fireweed Green to Yellow to Red

Yep, cabin fever sets in sometimes as well, but that just means it's time to take a drive to take some pictures. I'm so blessed to live in a place that is so unique and amazing. What are some things you do to stay busy in the wintertime? Do you live in a place with snow? Or just sunny and warm? Wherever you're at and whatever you're doing, remember to take the time to stop and enjoy the beauty around you. Have a wonderful winter!
]]>I'm also doing a weekly giveaway through the end of the year, to pass along the joy of Christmas. To enter, just 'LIKE' my Facebook page and 'SHARE' it on your page, or sign the guestbook here on my Zenfolio site and comment on this post (you can be entered twice by doing both).
Merry Christmas everyone!

And here's the best part - I've decided to share my 'festive' mood with all of you, my fans. I'll be giving away a variety of my products during the next few weeks, and I want you to be a part of it! Here's all you have to do: 'LIKE' my Facebook page and 'SHARE' it with your friends. Or, send me your email with your name address, and the names of a few of your favorite photos. I'll randomly select someone each week to receive something awesome!
Have an awesome day, and hope to hear from you soon!
]]>Meanwhile, I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my photos. I want you to be able to see a glimpse of Alaska every day in your own home. Take a look through my albums and find your favorites. Those pictures that make you say 'Wow!' Trust me, they would be just perfect in 11x14 or 16x24 frames, up on your wall. Or even a collection of four or five 8x10 prints, grouped together to make the most of an empty wall. Most importantly, they'll brighten those winter months and make you smile every time you see them. Those prints are the ones I want you to have.
So, as my gift to you, please enjoy a 15% discount off your order by entering the code GIVETHANKS as you check out. *Discount is valid on orders over $10 between now and Thanksgiving Day.*
I pray you will be blessed abundantly as you reflect on those things you can be thankful for. I would love to hear what some of those things are. I'm encouraged to hear the good things in people's lives even as the papers and media share only negative news. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
